The Future

Once upon a time there was a boy called Mark who lived in Trim. One day Mark went out to play with his friend Liam who lived in his estate. Then the two of them went over to the field near Mark's house. So at twenty past one they went over to the field. Mark brought one of his footballs so they could play football. After five minutes Mark was 1-0 up. Liam tried to get back in the game but Mark was too good. Ten minutes later Mark kicked the ball out of play into the ditch. Liam went over to get the ball. Mark sat down on the grass until Liam got the ball.

Suddenly Mark heard someone shout AHHHHHHHHH! Mark ran over to the ditch. He looked down and there was a hole. As he bent down to look he slipped and fell down into the hole. When he got to the bottom Liam was there. They looked around amazed. ‘I think we're in the future' Liam said. They looked up, about 60 cars were flying. There were 80 robots walking around. Dogs were wearing special collars and were talking to each other.

Liam said to Mark ‘I don't like this, let's go home'. So they jumped back down the hole.

The Time Machine

It was the 3rd of March 2010 when a young boy named Craig made a time machine out of a car. It was four feet tall. It was in the shape of a circle and it had a red siren on the top. First you had to type down the year you want, say 1764 for example. Then you walk into the purple vortex in the middle of the circle and then you go to the past. But there was one problem. You couldn't decide where you wanted to go. The first time he tried it out was when he wanted to go to America but he ended up in France. He wanted to go to Canada but he ended up in Australia. But a big problem happened - when he arrived in Australia the time machine was gone!

He asked everyone if he or she had seen it. He asked an old man at the age of 97 did he know where it was. He said ‘Yes, I do know'. ‘That's great' said Craig. It is 300 feet below the ground in a cave which is a hundred yards away. ‘Will you come with me?' said Craig. ‘Of course' said the old man. I haven't had a bit of fun in 50 years my lad'. And off they went. They were 100 yards away. ‘So what do we do now?' said Craig. ‘In that cave heading 300 feet below ground' said the old man. ‘But its locked' said Craig. ‘You have to find the key somewhere beneath the dust'. ‘Found it' said Craig. He put the key in the door and suddenly it opened. They were 300 feet below ground but there were two tunnels. Suddenly a bat came down and bit the old man on the neck. Craig picked the right tunnel and it was correct. He jumped into the vortex and he got back home.

And at school he learned about him and the old man in history class!

The big black cat stared at the tiny goldfish as he swam around his little bowl. The big cat put a huge black paw into the tank and took the fish. ‘At last' said the cat staring at the little fish that was trying to break free. Woof, woof. ‘Great not that dog again' said the cat. He put the fish back and went over to the dog and said ‘now look pal, you like dog biscuits - well there is a big truck load of dog biscuits down the road'. The next thing the dog was gone! ‘Well that worked out well' said the cat. ‘Finally' said the cat looming over the bowl, ‘its lunch time' he said licking his lips. ‘Mr. Cat' came a voice from next door ‘it's dinner time!'.

Alice's Adventure

Once upon a time there lived a little girl called Alice. Alice is 10 years old. One day Alice was walking in the forest of 100 trees. She walked one mile. She could not walk anymore because her legs hurt. She sat down on a bolder and she found a treasure map beside her. She picked it up and followed the instructions it said. From the bolder, four steps right, ten steps to the left, five steps to the right again to two tall oak trees. Under the trees she found a trap door. She opened the door. She went down nine steps, along a tunnel, down another six steps, through another three doors and into the land of numbers.

People were numbers. Animals were numbers. Even trees and plants were in the shape of numbers. Suddenly a person number eight came up and said hi. Odd numbers were boys and even numbers were girls. I think it was about 7 o clock when she left. She knew that dinner would be ready. She said goodbye and left. She left the map at the bolder. It was seven minutes to eight when she got home. Her Mom was at the door of her house.  After dinner Alice told her Mom what happened that day. Her Mom said ‘I was there when I was a little girl'. ‘No wonder they thought I was you Mom' said Alice!

Pets

The big black cat spared at the tiny goldfish as he swam around his little fish bowl. Suddenly the cat jumped on the table where the goldfish was. Then a tall man came in and saw the cat beside the fishbowl, so the cat smiled and the goldfish gulped. Then the man left. The cat stuck his head into the fishbowl and he found out that cats are afraid of water. So he pulled it out really quickly. The cat imagined how good it would be to eat a GOLDFISH! So he faced his fears and stuck his head down again. He was about to get the fish but a big dog came in and said in his head ‘a 7 month old cat'. So he ran over and bit his tail and the cat screamed in the fishbowl. He could not breathe and got killed. The man said ‘my cat - dinner'. And the cat did not come. The man said in his head ‘hmmmm....where's the cat, he was only seven months old'. The goldfish was really happy but the dog got no cat to eat.

Mo Mhoncaí

Lá amháin ar an 3ú de Márta chuaigh mé go dtí an zú. Chuamar ar ais go dtí an teach mar rinne mo Mhamaí dearmad ar na ticéidí. Nuair a bhuaileamar an zú chonaic mé go leor ainmhithe. Chonaic mé eilifint, siraffe agus moncaí. Chonaic mé moncaí an-deas. Dúirt mé le mo Mhamaí go raibh mé ag iarraidh an moncaí sin. Dúirt sí nach raibh sí in ann. Cheap mé gur dúirt sí ‘tá' agus chuir mé é faoi mo chóta. Nuair a shroicheamar an baile chuaigh mé amach ar mo rothar le mo mhoncaí. Nuair a chuaigh mé isteach do mo dhinnéar dúirt mo Mhamaí ‘Cén áit a fuair tú an moncaí bréagach sin?'Dúirt mé go raibh sé fíor. D'úirt Mamaí liom ‘Cén fáth ar thóg tú moncaí abhaile?' Cónaíonn sé ag an zú. Dúirt mé go raibh fior brom orm agus chuaigh an moncaí abhaile.

Flying in the Sky

I was flying in the sky

Up so high

Everyone looks like ants

When you're in the sky

All the houses

Look like toys

I'll fall asleep in the clouds

And they will sing me a lullaby

I wish I could do this

All the time

I'll say hello to the birds

And goodbye to the flies

Splash

Splash, splash

Drip, drip

Splush, splush

Flick, flick

Dry, dry

A  Weird Dream Zzzzzzzzz

I woke up this morning at a quarter to three

I looked out the window and what did I see?

But a butterfly , a jellyhog and a billybogbug

Then I saw a bully yopday and a chee

By blipblopmonkey and a batbellybart

When I looked up again what did I see?

But my pillow!

It was all a weird dream!

The big blue light will come an

Sit on my lily pad of fun

My favourite Animals

Purr, purr, scratch, scratch

The door has a hole

How did that happen?

Woof, woof, bark, bark

Chase your tail round and round

Niehg, neigh, gallop, gallop

Lets take a ride around the fields

Moo, moo, chomp, chomp

You have patterns on your back

Sizzle, sizzle, slither, slither

Lets all hide from that big long thing

Baa, baa, run around

Fluffy and soft and very cuddly

Boing, boing, nibble, nibble

Bounce around like crazy

Animals, animals, everywhere

Dragon

I have a dragon that sits on a chair

That can fly up in the air

He loves to eat and sometimes he has to lie

He is a pain in the head when he eats sweets in the bed

You wouldn't believe that he keeps his suit clean!

He always likes to eat his cake

Without any crumb on the plate

But once you wouldn't believe he

Actually ate one of his mate's!
